Essential Cosmology for the Next Generation
Cosmología en la Playa / Cosmology on the Beach
Cancún , Mexico    January 16-20, 2012

Cancún (20.1° N, 86.8° W) lies on the Caribbean Sea at the north end of the Riviera Maya. The area has beautiful beaches, excellent snorkeling, and close access to Mayan archaeological sites. The hotel will be all-inclusive, with room, meals, drinks, and most activities included in one price. Expect infinity pools (suitable for contemplating cosmology) and possibly dolphins (suitable for questions about life, the universe, and everything).

A range of topics in cosmology will be covered at the conference by eminent scholars in the field, with elements of both a winter school and the latest research results. Students and postdocs will present posters and give short talks. We hope that the beauty of the natural and cultural environment will act as a catalyst for young researchers to interact and generate new ideas. We encourage a diverse group of advanced graduate students and postdocs interested in attending to submit the Participant Application form below. For 2012 we will also be admitting established researchers enthusiastic about interacting.

See the general Cosmology on the Beach website for information on the whole series since 2009.

Applications have now closed
